Nice Brother KH-940 Knitting Machine Tested! 95% Complete! Lace Carriage Issue

They are for demonstration only. Items included are the knitting machine and accessories that are pictured on the blue/white background.
This is a nice Brother KH-940 Electronic Knitting Machine and will arrive 95% complete. The only thing missing is the design sheet book.
There is a problem with the lace carriage. I cannot get it to select the needles. I had another lace carriage on hand to test the machine with and it knits lace really well, so I know it is not the machine. It has to be a problem with the lace carriage. The carriage itself looks barely used. I can't see any visual defect. I held it up next to the other carriage that functions and I cant see the problem. I took the cover off the carriage and inspected the inside and still don't see the issue. The buyer will get the original lace carriage, but will have to either get another lace carriage or fix this one to be able to knit lace. I am not including the lace carriage from my extra machine in the purchase. You can usually get one online for to . If you don't want to knit lace, you don't have to have it.
Other than that, I have not found and other issues with the machine. It is very clean, only missing the design sheet book and comes with some extra books!
Testing done:
The electronics work properly. I made a swatch in stocking stitch, a lace pattern (with the lace carriage from another machine) and fairisle pattern (see pics). I had no issues with the test swatch I made. The machine knitted easily for me. All the main carriage buttons function properly. I installed a brand new sponge bar. I also lubricated the knitting bed and main carriage.
Case Description:
The case is in very nice condition with very minimal scrapes. The handle and latches function properly. I always recommend carrying it with 2 hands, just to be safe. These are heavy machines.
Cosmetic description of machine:
It's in great cosmetic condition. It has very little (if any) yellowing of the plastic. I don't see any rust on the bed. I don't know of any issues with the function of the machine.
